As the second year comes to an end, I want to hold on to a promise I made long ago to an old friend of mine: to be grateful for the things that sparked my imagination and fueled my soul.
It’s been an intense year, filled with incredible conferences and splendid people. I had the chance to talk a lot about physics, but also about dreams and ideas that reach far beyond mere academic interests.

MBQM 2024 Abu Dhabi
I flew to a new continent, ate lots of delicious food, and attempted to speak so many languages that I can barely remember which one I butchered the most. I laughed—a lot—with so many people that my heart races just trying to express how lucky I’ve been to experience all of it.
Of course, there were hard moments too. Being a PhD student is tough, especially when you're constantly doubting yourself. It can be a valuable quality—it keeps you humble, keeps your feet on the ground—but the downsides are inevitable. Still, there are always kind souls who reach out, who help you feel that spark again.

Drawing of flowers
I’ve traveled a lot, and it’s been wonderful. But sometimes, you just want to crumble into the safety of home and remind yourself that life can move slowly too—that things take time to grow, that a flower blooms with patience, and that no rush can make it blossom sooner.
So thank you—to the people I’ve met, to those who taught me something, and to those who were simply there.
Another year. Another time. Another life.
